7-23-21, Richard Stephen Butterfield, Jr. “Dick Butterfield", 75

Dick Butterfield of Ojai, California passed away on July 23, 2021. Dick was born in Ventura, California in 1946 to Charlotte Butterfield “Higginbotham” and Richard Stephen Butterfield, Sr.

Dick spent most of his life in California. He was a US Navy veteran and he served from 1964 to 1966 on the USS CURRITUCK.

After the Navy, he was a professional truck driver and traveled the country for many years and loved the open road. He was a member of the American Legion and an avid pool player and was on a local pool team in the Ojai APA pool leagues for several years.

He loved talking about his truck driving days and the good ol’ days and spending time with family and friends and would challenge anyone to a game of cribbage.

Dick Butterfield, Jr. is survived by his two children Richard Guthrie and Devin Butterfield. Also his grandchildren Steven Butterfield and Kevin Butterfield. He was loved by many friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on August 8, 2021 at the American Legion, 843 East Ojai Ave. in Ojai, Ca. Potluck 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m
