Karen died 03/29/1988, in Ventura. She graduated from Norhoff High in 1964 and VJC in 1966 with a degree in police science. She had won numerous trophies for marksmanship, including the Best Female Marksmanship award in Tri-State competition. She was a postal carrier for the Ojai PO. She was survived by her husband, Michael Lee Purdy and daughter Gretchen Lee Purdy and parents, June Kilbourne of Ojai, Frank Kilbourne of Salem, Oregon, a sister Sally Delman of Los Angeles and a brother Michael Kilbourne of Aurora, Colo.
