At the age of 46, Joanne had incidents of a disease two years later diagnosed as Multiple Sclerosis.  She took an early disability retirement from her job at the County of Ventura, fighting a disease that strikes each person differently, but finally succumbing to MS in March 2005 at the age of 59.  Joanne is survived by her mother, Josephine Huber, of Ventura, brother, Richard Huber (wife Lynn) of Ventura, sons Steven of Mississippi and Michael (wife Dianne - children, Mikaela and Jax) of Arizona, and daughter, Stephanie Hatfield Gilton (husband, Jim, children, Cody and Hailey) of Tennessee.  Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Henry Huber (former head of Maintenance for the Ojai Unified School District) in September 1991.
